  • Todd "Locura" Levin - Head Instructor

    Locura is a dedicated martial artist, holding a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a brown belt in Judo. Since 2021, Locura has served as the head instructor at Guardian Baltimore, guiding students with expertise and passion. With a commitment to sharing knowledge, Locura has been teaching kids the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since 2010, building on previous experience in wrestling.

    Alongside a loving wife and two cherished dogs, Zoe and Tia, Locura finds joy in the simple moments shared at home. Locura enjoys connecting with others through engaging conversations over a cup of coffee, fostering meaningful connections and relationships.

  • Carlos Raba - Founder

    Carlos Raba is a family man, chef, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt. He is the founder of Guardian Gym Baltimore, located next to his award winning restaurant, Clavel.

    Jiu Jitsu has had a profound impact on Carlos. His experiences during training have helped him manage uncomfortable situations and difficult emotions that everyday life throws at him. In addition, it also “has provided the friendships and the lessons that shaped me to be who I am… that is the reason why it’s in my routine and one that I want to mentor and share… I believe if everyone was exposed to a good roll, the world would be more humble and patient.”

    Hi my name is Jarrid. I have been wrestling and doing bjj my whole life. I have competed in many tournaments and placed in most of them. I love bjj and think it's a good hobby for people wanting to physically & mentally challenge themselves while staying in shape.

  • Monroe Hall

    Monroe Hall holds a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has 15 years of Coaching Experience with Children and Adults.
